Hey Martin Family, well this is the NEW, and only (that I'm aware of) Martin Family Blog. On this blog our staff (right now me, but taking any and all applications) will post Martin Family News, Notes, Facts, and whatever on this blog. You can visit and read the new posts, express your opinions (we all have them, face it we're Martins), comment on them, make a joke, whatever you feel led.
The intention here is to have a place where we can keep in touch, and up to date with each other. Schedules are hectic, and phone calls are sometimes the last thing on our mind, sending forwards is way easier than writing out an email, but most of us like to check out websites for a few minutes and this allows you to do that and keep up with our family.
I will need your help in spreading the word. I don't have every one's latest email address so if you could help pass on what we have here that would be very helpful.
If you have any ideas on what else this could be used for, or features that you would like to see, feel free to let me know.
Right now some ideas that I have are birthdays and anniversaries (and other important announcements) updated weekly; featured families...spotlighting a particular family in our clan and trying to get you all caught up on their happenings; sharing recipes; favorite memories; the possibilities are endless.
I have been brainstorming for a while on what we could do to keep better in touch, I'm the worst at picking up the phone and getting caught up, but I'm on the Internet at least an hour each day, so I thought for most of us this may be perfect.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas (good or bad) and it's been a long time since I've played reporter, so I just may be calling soon looking for more material to put up here, so BEWARE.
